Training seminar "The role of students in external quality assurance"

On February 12, 2021, the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) held a training seminar for undergraduate and doctoral students of universities in Kazakhstan on the topic "The role of students in external quality assurance". The seminar was held on the online platform "ZOOM" with 72 students from 34 universities of Kazakhstan.

The aim of the seminar was to provide up-to-date information on the Bologna Process, student-centered education and external quality assurance for undergraduate and doctoral students, as well as expanding the base of IQAA experts.

At the seminar took participation IQAA President Sholpan Kalanova, Head of the accreditation department of universities Karlygash Dzhigitcheeva, and Head of the monitoring department Zhanat Raimbekova. Moreover, Temirov Daniyar, a student of the Karaganda University named after academician E. Buketov, shared his experience of participation in the audit. In general, there were given recommendations and advice for participating in an external audit as an expert student.

During the training seminar, all students actively asked questions and took part in the discussion. The final stage was an interactive cognitive game based on the Kahoot platform. At the end of the seminar, students took a survey, where they expressed their level of satisfaction with the seminar, as well left their recommendations for future IQAA events.
