The international conference on the topic "Perspectives and challenges for HEIs and agencies in the framework of Yerevan communique of Ministers of education of the countries – members of Bologna process" on 11/09/2015

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science in the Republic of Kazakhstan, The Committe for Control in the sphere of education and science of the MES RK, staff from different universities and representatives of international organizations of Kazakhstan, Finland, Lithuania, making up together more than 120 people in total.

The opening speech was delivered by  the President of the IQAA, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor Kalanova Sh. She welcomed all participants and emphasized the relevance of the topic.

During the conference, all speakers and participants had a great opprotunity to discuss the issues such as: amendments in  Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance  in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), in the ECTS Users' Guide. In addition, there was a discussion of issues related to the procedure of external quality assurance by IQAA in the framework of new edition of ESG.

During the conference, the reports were delivered by the following speakers: 

1.The Vice-President of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) Helka Kekäläinen, with the presentation on the topic: "Aims and stress marks of the new edition of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), approved at the conference of Ministers of education in Yerevan (May 14, 2015)"

2.The Head of International Programmes and Relations Office of Vilnius University Raimonda Markevičienė, with the presentation on the topic: "ECTS as one of the cornerstones of Bologna process"

"Problems and ways of implementation of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG)"

"Discussion of usage of the ECTS Users’ Guide in the European Higher Education Area"
