IQAA took part in the training of KazDual Consortium on August 16-18, 2022

The Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) took part in the training of KazDual Consortium organized by Tallinn University of Applied Sciences on August 16-18, 2022.

The project (2021-2023) jointly funded by the Capacity Building in Higher Education Erasmus+ program is intended to improve the qualifications of college and university graduates in Kazakhstan through pilot dual education programs in accordance with employers’ requirements. The project is also aimed at proposing legislative amendments to adapt the dual education in Kazakhstan and develop standards and criteria for the dual educational program accreditation with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The training presented the experience of Tallinn University of Applied Sciences in preparing and implementing the accreditation process. In addition, the main procedures for institutional accreditation as well as institutional cooperation with the manufacturing sector were reviewed.

During the final meeting national and international project partners discussed further plans for implementing pilot dual education programs in colleges and universities of Kazakhstan (M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Karaganda Buketov University, Shakarim University, Karaganda Higher Polytechnic College, Electrotechnical College) with subsequent implementation of the international accreditation of these educational programs according to standards developed jointly by the agencies of Germany (ACQUIN) and Kazakhstan (IQAA) in 2023.
