Participation of IQAA in the XVII Republican forum of the Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan and the II Republican rally of the Committee on Youth Affairs

The Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) participated in the XVII Republican Meeting of the Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan. The event took place on November 6, 2020 at the KAZGUU University named after M.S. Narikbayev with the support of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan in offline and online format. More than 300 young representatives of student organizations, student parliaments and committees on youth affairs in educational organizations had connected remotely.

Earlier, within the framework of this event, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aimagambetov Askhat Kanatovich discussed on issues related to the immediate plans for the development of student organizations and the activities of the Student Council under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A welcoming speech was addressed by the chairman of the Committee on Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Baimanov Shahmardan Askarovich. Also, the meeting program was attended by Deputy Chairman of NCE RK "Atameken" Ordabaev Olzhas Temirbekovich, Provost University of KAZGUU named after M.S. Narikbayev, administrator of the ADAL BILIM project office under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Pen Sergey Gennadievich and rector of Astana Medical University Dainius Pavalkis.

Within the framework of the signed memorandum and cooperation, the head of the department of analysis and quality of IQAA Rakhimzhanova Galiya Galimovna gave a report on the topic: "The role of students in external quality assurance". She spoke about accreditation and activities of IQAA. The key role of students in internal quality assurance was also highlighted, namely in maintaining academic integrity within the university.
