Representatives of the IQAA took part in the 9th European Quality Assurance Forum at the University of Barselona, Spain

The 9th European Quality Assurance Forum was held on November 13-15, 2014 at the University of Barselona, Spain. This Forum was co-organized by ENQA, ESU, EUA and EURASHE, and was dedicated to the topic "Changing education – QA and the shift from teaching to learning". The main aim of the forum – to foster the development of the dialogue on the issues of quality of higher education between expert societies of different countries and the assurance of the development of a single concept and approached in this sphere.

The forum was attended by more than 500 representatives of European and international quality assurance agencies and other stakeholders. Representatives of the Independent Kazakh Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) also took part in this Forum.

In course of three days of the forum, there was a holding of a range of plenary meetings, working seminars, discussions of practical outcomes, and research and scientific projects, presentations and exchange of experience in the field of quality assurance of education. This year, the forum covered the area of the modern approaches in the sphere of quality assurance of education, and maintenance of the improvement in the sphere of learning and teaching. The topics for discussion during the Forum included student-oriented learning, student autonomy in learning, and new models of teaching.
