Representatives from IQAA participated in the CEENQA 15th Anniversary General Assembly and Workshop

This event took place on May 13-14, 2016 in Krakow (Poland). It was hosted and organized in collaboration between the Polish Accreditation Committee and University Accreditation Commission.

At the beginning of the seminar, the welcoming speech was delivered by the President of CEENQA, Dr. Iring Wasser. In the framework of this seminar, participants discussed the topic related to the issues of assuring the quality of the cross-border education. There were several speakers from different quality assurance agencies, who shared their vision on the cross-border education.

An important part of the seminar was the process of voting and assigning of new members of the CEENQA Board members. After delivering presentations and selection of candidates to the Board, there was also a process of voting for inclusion of new members to CEENQA by all quality assurance agencies: Latvian Higher Education Quality Agency and Academic Information Centre. Also, one of the most significant outcomes of this General Assembly was the strengthening of requirements for the membership criteria on the inclusion of new members to CEENQA.

Thus, all participants of the seminar had an opportunity to learn experiences of different agencies on procedures of quality assurance of education and to discuss relevant challenges in the European higher education area (EHEA).
