On December 14, 2012, the IQAA held a Republican seminar and a round table on "Independent national accreditation of TVET organizations"

During the seminar the drafts of the Internal and External Evaluation Standards and the Procedure for Institutional Accreditation of TVET Organizations developed by the IQAA within the framework of the World Bank's project "Modernization of Technical and Vocational Education", were presented by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the seminar, modern aspects of institutional and specialized accreditation of educational organizations, their features and interaction were discussed. Besides, the main objectives of accreditation in Kazakhstan, as well as forms and ways of supporting domestic educational organizations to develop their own quality assurance systems were considered.

International experts in the field of TVET organisations Dr. Yochka Anastassova (Bulgaria), who worked on projects in Romania, Turkey, Georgia, Moldova, Dr.Sherban Josifescu, Chairman of the Romanian Quality Assurance Agency for TVET Organizations; representatives of the World Bank, heads of education departments, directors and deputy directors of colleges of all regions of the republic took part in the Republican seminar.

Expert discussion allowed to develop optimal recommendations on the accreditation of TVET organizations aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the national education system and implementation of an international accreditation model in the context of the Turin process.
